Ginga & Elegance: A Kizomba Follower’s Workshop
Back by popular demand, now with fresh insights, deepened knowledge, and new explorations relevant to all Kizomba-passionate women.
Join me, Séverine Coulanges, for a 3-hour workshop designed for all women to explore their unique expression of ginga, the natural, fluid, feminine movement that brings the music alive in our bodies when we dance Kizomba.
Rooted in the rhythms of Angola, Kizomba is a dance of connection, musicality, and presence. This workshop goes beyond “styling.” It is about dignity, presence, and how we show up as women on the dance floor and in our lives.
Let’s be inspired by the spirit of the Bessa Ngana, the “women of fabric,” who embodied wisdom, grace, cultural guardianship, and the resilience that holds communities together.
In This Workshop You Will
Embody rhythm
Refine axis and balance, with posture, core & foot strength awareness
Deepen body expression
Finish steps with clarity
Build energy and presence
Dance solo with freedom
Anchor movements through repetition
Why Join
Discover the power of your feminine side and refine your role as a follower
Gain confidence to dance with or without a partner
Share food, stories, and connection in the spirit of a women’s circle
Leave with tools to feel more grounded, graceful, and empowered on the dance floor.
Additional Info
What to wear: Comfortable clothing; heels welcome, but bring socks or be ready to dance barefoot
Extras: Bring a small plate of food to share
This gathering is about more than dance. It is about presence, connection, and the strength we find in each other.
