What is Kizomba?

Kizomba is a beautiful partner dance style from Angola that centres on connection, musicality, and relaxed movement.

Kizomba’s movements are smooth and grounded. It’s not about tricks or performance, it’s about enjoying the music and moving together comfortably.

At first glance, Kizomba is sometimes compared to Argentine Tango, but it has its own distinct look and feel. Driven by beautiful music and a relaxed dance frame, it offers an open, easy way for anyone to enjoy the music and unwind.

Why Dance?

Dancing is one of the few activities that engages the body, challenges the brain, and helps regulate the nervous system all at once.

Learning rhythm and movement supports coordination, balance, and memory, while moving to music naturally reduces stress and lifts mood.

It also offers a welcome break from screens and a chance to be socially engaged in real time, helping people feel more present, connected, and alive,
